My Brother’s Keeper Young Men’s Empowerment
Hempstead MBK Youth Men’s Empowerment Program at Hempstead High School
The Hempstead MBK Youth Men’s Empowerment Program, hosted at Hempstead High School, is designed to support and uplift high school students, with a particular focus on boys and young men of color. The program aims to provide these students with authentic leadership experiences and opportunities to develop and implement service projects that benefit their schools and communities.
Mission of the MBK Young Men’s Empowerment League:
Our mission is to empower young men in grades 9-12 to grow into resilient, socially responsible citizens, which in turn positively impacts their academic outcomes. Through participation in this program, students engage in a positive environment that fosters healthy self-confidence, sharing, and respect for others.

I stand tall because I respect myself and others.
